Speaker Biographies

Michael Goheen

Michael Goheen (Ph.D. Utrecht) is Director of Theological Education and Scholar-in-Residence at Missional Training Center, Phoenix, AZ. He is married to Marnie for 38 years and they have four married ‘children’ and ten grandchildren. He splits his time between Phoenix, AZ and Vancouver, BC. He has authored or edited nine books including Introducing Christian Mission Today (IVP, 2014), A Light to the Nations (Baker, 2011), and Reading the Bible Missionally (Eerdmans 2016).

Alycia Wood

Alycia Wood graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College with a degree in Criminal Justice and from Marygrove College with a Master’s in Social Justice. She also graduated from the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics and spent two years as a Fellow with RZIM in New England. Alycia’s speaking background is quite diverse. From universities (such as MIT, UCONN, Harvard, University of Massachusetts, Boston University, Dartmouth College, and Brown University), to retreats, from conferences to men’s and women’s prisons, Alycia has addressed major issues surrounding faith to diverse audiences.

Additionally, she has traveled to countries such as Haiti, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica, volunteering at soup kitchens and orphanages as her passions for “showing Christ” extends beyond her local environment.

In her spare time, Alycia enjoys music and is a lover of all things football and hockey.

Jarrod McKenna

Jarrod has done many things: he’s been a pastor, a protestor, the National Advisor for Youth, Faith and Activism for World Vision Australia, founder of the Love Makes A Way campaign and the First Home Project, theologian, and dad. “He subscribes to the whacky idea that Christianity should look like Jesus and that compels him to do good, important things.”

Trevor Larsen

In the US in his 20s and 30s, *Trevor served as a teacher and coach, a church planter among Asian refugees, and a pastor. Based the last 25 years in an Asian country, *Trevor serves as a seminary professor. He started and coaches mission teams in which local coworkers lead multiplying discipleship movements in Unreached People Groups.

*Trevor develops leaders’ learning communities to maximize the fruit-bearing productivity of local church planters. These men, in turn, mentor others, multiplying fruit for God in small discipleship groups, up to the 11th generation. Trevor presented Movement Case which describe how God impacting Unreached People Groups, and how He uses people whose practices are aligned with Him . . . to bear much fruit.
