“My Love For You”

Our 2026 conference will be centered around experiencing Jesus’ manifest love for us, based on the Apostle John’s life-changing vision of Jesus in Revelation 1. John writes, in the introduction to that vision:

To him who loves us and has set us free from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

from Revelation 1:5–6

Imagine the most gentle and loving person in your life—just by walking into a room they put a smile on your face and fill you with peace. Notice that it’s their presence that shifts something inside you, even before they say a word.

It was the same for John in Revelation 1. Just by seeing Jesus, John immediately experienced the whole culture and ethos of the One who sits on the throne. He felt Jesus’ presence as He drew near.

Having had a similar experience, Paul writes to the church in Corinth:

For the love of Christ compels us, since we have reached this conclusion, that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all so that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for the one who died for them and was raised.

2 Corinthians 5:13b–15

When Jesus makes Himself known to us, it’s impossible to miss. John’s and Paul’s encounters with the risen Jesus changed them profoundly, and both yielded their whole lives to be missionaries.

Encounter Jesus at Mission Fest BC 2026

Jesus’ love isn't a vague, theoretical love. His love is active and caused Jesus to befriend real, ordinary people just like us; to see their deepest needs and heal them. His love caused Jesus to ransom us with His blood, claiming us as His own and giving us a new calling.

Our hope is that everyone who comes to Mission Fest 2026 will meet Jesus face to face, experience His love, and will receive His calling, “to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father.”

We are confident that Jesus being in our midst as we gather in worship will accomplish more than any human effort could. He will fill us with His love and equip us for His mission to redeem the world. To Him be glory!

If we would know the power of the Christian message our nature must be invaded by an Object from beyond it; that That which is external must become internal; that the objective Reality which is God must cross the threshold of our personality and take residence within.
