Throughout the Gospels, Jesus wondrously and unwaveringly declares what He will do.

  • “Come to me, all who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” —Matthew 11:28
  • I will build my church.” —Matthew 16:18
  • “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” —Matthew 4:19
  • I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.” —John 14:3
  • “and I will raise him up on the last day.” —John 6:40
  • And he said to him, “I will come and heal him.” —Matthew 8:7
  • “And remember! I will be with you always.” —Matthew 28:20

When Jesus declares “I will,” or “I am willing,” these are actions and active statements that tell us where our attention ought to rest. There’s nothing more freeing and exciting than being around the One who is willing, who does the work, and who is present and active!

“For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.”

Philippians 2:13

Mission Fest BC 2025 focused on all of Jesus’ “I will” declarations. As we immersed ourselves in the knowledge of what Jesus is like and what Jesus delights to do, we knew we would truly experience Jesus: a person who is all, who is real, and who tangibly transforms lives.
