Help us Connect a New Generation to God’s Work in the World

Wonderful news!

Through your generous response last spring, we at Mission Central / Missions Fest were able to raise $38,000 towards reducing our deficit. Our goal is not only the complete elimination of our deficit, which is $61,000, but a surplus that will help us to see the Gospel preached and God glorified all over the earth.

Would you consider making a generous gift to Mission Central and Missions Fest to help eliminate our deficit and build financial momentum for the future?

When churches and agencies, agencies and individuals, or churches and churches connect, something wonderful happens. We begin to get a clearer sense of our big God’s activity in the world. We are inspired to dream. Collaboration happens. Networks form. Isolation is broken and unity flourishes. God’s kingdom is revealed.

When churches & agencies, agencies & individuals, or churches & churches connect, something wonderful happens.

Suddenly, mission and discipleship are connected, as people set out on adventures with others who share their God-given passion and commitment to Jesus.

We feel an urgency to increase the scope and impact of our ministry. Collaboration can often lead to greater efficiency and effectiveness.

From reports on Christian giving, it is estimated that only 6% goes to global mission, 12% to local mission, and the rest is used in local congregations. Only a small percentage of money given to global mission goes toward reaching unreached people groups.

Here are some ideas we have for the future:

  • Short-Term Mission Scholarships: Merit-based awards for young people 18–24 to take part in short-term mission trips with our partner agencies
  • Video Series: We want to create a series of video interviews with missionaries that inspire people to think deeply about subjects like discerning vocation, sharing faith, prayer and sacrifice.
  • Core Courses: The Mission Central Core are courses, taught in part by our staff in conjunction with other missional experts, which expand on subjects introduced in the video series.
  • Church/Agency Dialogue: We want to see momentum grow for collaborative mission. To make that happen, we need more time to build relationship, not just be transactional.

The need is great. Please help us to connect a new generation to God’s work in the world!

With gratitude in Christ,
John Hall, Executive Director
